What locations you would consider? This would be a Toronto location as the contractor would have to be in the Richmond office three times a week (Tues, Weds, and Thur)

If bilingual required, will interviews be held in French? No bilingual is not required however it would be a nice to have. Interviews do not need to be held in French.

Provide a description of the typical day to day in this role. -

The contractor will be working with the UX/UI team, product owners and managers to provide final copy to our features and products we are launching. They will work to standardize and create the voice for our digital products in a manner that is consistent within our platforms.
The contractor will help define the role and processes to optimally integrate copy input into our agile process and work to describe the voice of our digital products and user interfaces within out design pattern library.

What are the top skills sets and qualifications you want to see on a candidate’s resume?

Experience would be a must. I need someone who has experience creating content for digital platforms in the past.
Experience and good understand of the UX design process
Need someone who is a self starter and able to work autonomously to move initiatives forward
Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate work initiatives to their direct report.

What will the interview process look like (how many interviews, assessments, virtual or in person)?

Interview process would be 1-2 interviews with me and someone from the design team. These interviews could be in person or virtual. I would like to see a portfolio of their work as well.

What specific projects will be worked on? They will be working across lifestyle, entertainment, news and sports brands for client.

Any potential for extension or to hire full time? Yes, there is potential for full-time

8+ years experience.

Does work and is capable of being almost entirely self-directed (i.e., requires very little management).

Able to act as a lead or supervisor to others.

Either makes decisions or acts to help management make decisions.

Under general direction, participates as a high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software.

Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.

May act as team leader on less complex projects.

Assists in training less experienced technical staff.
