Interviews - Bilingual (mandatory) - advanced French + English. Interviews in French
Work is on site, no remote work. 5 days/5 in office, Monday to Friday.
Day to day - Prepare computers, answer calls from users, help users who come to the IT room with their Desktop or On-air support needs/issues, troubleshoot Windows/Office/IT applications, support IT computers in newsrooms, studios and control rooms, refresh the computer fleet, help users configure professional emails on their phones, create and update technical documents for knowledge /

Qualification :

Diploma or Degree in Computer Studies or related field,

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position,

Bilingual (mandatory) - advanced French + English
Interviews - 1 interview is scheduled, if several equivalent candidates are interesting, a 2nd interview could be scheduled, no assessment, the interviews will be virtual.

Full time - We tried to convert this position into a full-time position but it was denied. We will extend our contractors until the 2 year mark. Not sure what happens after that in this new for us.
Working independently to resolve IT issues for client’s On Air production, supporting newsrooms, studios and control rooms. You will provide technical expertise and support to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely fashion; additionally you will participate in system maintenance, hardware upgrades, and installation and support of business applications.
You will also be required to support Admin based staff with Desktop support, which includes all departments (eg. Sales, Marketing, Promotions, Brand Partnership, HR etc.)
Responsibilities will also include supporting key business staff including executives.
Job Duties / Accountabilities:

Supporting 3 main buildings in Montreal for Desktop and On-Air support. Must be flexible to move when needed between the 3 buildings in downtown Montreal.

Work with users and other technical personnel to resolve problems

Responsible for On Air production support including newsrooms/studios/control rooms

Knowledge of Production applications an asset (iNews, PRX, Harris systems)

Knowledge of Sales applications an asset (Wide Orbit, Radius, ATC)

Answers telephone support requests via Avaya One X softphone

Manage assigned tickets in a timely fashion
-
Assumes responsibility for tasks assigned to them and ensures proper technical solutions have been applied

Work with users and other technical personnel to resolve problems

Participates in system maintenance, upgrades, etc

Installs / upgrades business applications
-
Supports remote access (Citrix, VPN, WAN) to business applications

Support common Desktop applications issues including Outlook, Web browsers, Office Suite

Support Desktop OS issues (Windows 10/11)

Supports corporate email on mobile devices
-
Creates and updates technical documents for knowledge database
Essential Qualifications / Competencies:
-
Flexible to work evenings and weekends if required

Minimum of 2 years experience with:
-
Troubleshooting IT issues for Windows 10/11 workstations and MS Office 2016

Knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP VPN, DHCP)

Experience with mobile devices and BES12

Experience using SCCM (remote control console)

Experience with Exchange Management Console

Experience with Active Directory

Experience with ServiceNow

Strong time management and organizational skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills and ability to work well under pressure

Working Conditions:

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required.

(7.5h/day: predetermined schedule that can vary between 8am and 6pm, Mon to Fri)

Must be able to lift 30lbs (13.6kg), to move computer equipment.
