Overview:
Elections Quebec is seeking an experienced Linux and AWS Infrastructure Analyst to support, maintain, and modernize its hybrid IT environments. You will work on both on-premises and cloud infrastructures, ensuring high performance, security, and availability of critical systems supporting electoral operations.
Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8/9 servers supporting Java J2EE applications and Oracle databases.

Manage VMware environments (VM creation, resource allocation, storage, networking).

Support Oracle database (11g and newer) and Oracle Fusion Middleware (Forms and Reports) administration on Linux platforms.

Operate and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

Use CloudFormation and AWS CDK for infrastructure deployment and maintenance (EC2, security groups, load balancers, CloudFront).

Analyze existing systems and propose optimizations for performance, capacity, and security.

Update aging components to prevent obsolescence.

Plan and support technology replacement initiatives aligned with ITIL best practices.

Support the migration toward cloud infrastructure while respecting organizational guidelines.

Perform knowledge transfer on new or underutilized technologies.

Manage core Linux services: identity management, storage, security, backup, recovery, web servers, application servers, and networking.

Support development teams in database, OS, and application server migrations.

Document current and target infrastructures.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Linux infrastructure analyst in large-scale environments.

Minimum 6 years of experience in:

Completed two (2) mandates of at least 100 person-days each within the past 3 years for different clients or distinct administrative units.

Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and newer.

VMware ESXi 7 and newer (VM management, resource allocation).

Oracle database support (11g and newer) on Linux.

Oracle Fusion Middleware (Forms and Reports) administration (11g and newer).

Cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance via CloudFormation/CDK for EC2/security groups/load balancers/CloudFront.
