Description

Locations to be considered - Mississauga, Barrie, Halifax

Bilingual is Not required for this role

Hybrid role - 2 days required in the office

Day to day - Will be different everyday, month end and the beginning of the month will involve reconciliation of actuals, providing variance explanations, forecasting. Other days will involve cost allocation exercises and moving numbers, ensuring costs are going to the right project, and working on cost saving initiatives

Virtual interview with 2-3 interviewers

Projects - ? LMRN / Other radio project cost allocation, capital management (variance analysis, forecasting, short and long term planning), cost savings analysis, invoice coding and improving financial processes

Hire date - ASAP, but likely mid to end of April

Initial 1 year contract with potential to hire full time

Responsible for the coordination, preparing and delivery of financial reporting and analysis.

Responsible for the preparation of journal entries and maintenance of accounting records.

Assist with the co-ordination of month end close activity.

Responsible for the timely completion of complex account analysis and reconciliations.

Prepare operating expense variance analysis.

Maintain appropriate controls for financial reporting.

Qualifications include:

Accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA) with 5 years experience in an accounting environment;

Strong computer skills (Excel and Word);

Expert in Financial Systems;

and Strong attention to detail.
